Greeting
Korean Art Lovers,
The opening on Tuesday night of the new Korean gallery at
the Brooklyn Museum revealed a greater space than I could have imagined. It is
four times larger than the previous gallery, so now we can finally view many of
the museum's Korean masterpieces on full and deserving display. Senior Curator
of Asian Art Joan Cummins has generously offered to give the Korean Art Society
a private tour of the new gallery, where we will see fine and rare traditional
Korean art as well as large contemporary paintings by the most renowned of the
Dansaekhwa artists.
Our
events always fill to capacity very quickly, so if you'd like to join us, please
reply to this email now. The date is Wednesday, September 27th at 11:30am.
Please don't miss out on this privileged opportunity to get a first look at and
enjoy, along with Dr. Cummins and your fellow Korean art lovers, a grand display
of one of the best collections of Korean art.
Thank
you for supporting the Korean Art Society's mission to promote Korean art and
culture.
