2021 KAGC Congressional Fellowship has just begun!
The Class of 2021 of the KAGC Congressional Fellows has kicked off their summer on Capitol Hill (virtually and in-person) today. With this year's cohort, a total of 20 students have been placed in 16 offices across the aisle on Capitol Hill to help build a pipeline for representation, establish a Korean American visibility, and amplify our community's voice since 2017. Alumni of the annual KAGC Congressional Fellowship have since become invaluable staff on Capitol Hill, community organizers, as well as campaign and party operatives.
Throughout the summer, our Fellows will receive a stipend, benefit from education and mentorship support, and enjoy special opportunities for networking and enrichment. Please join us in congratulating these students as they embark the journey to become civic leaders of tomorrow, today
2021 KAGC 의회 인턴십이 시작되었습니다.
KAGC 연례 의회 인턴십 프로그램에 선발된 학생들이 모두 연방의회 인턴십을 오늘 시작했습니다. 공공 서비스 및 공직 진출 그리고 한인사회의 정치력 신장을 위해 2017년부터 시작된 이 프로그램을 통해 지난 4년간 총 20명의 대학생이 민주·공화 양당 소속 총 16곳의 연방 상·하원의원실에서 인턴으로 근무했습니다. 해당 프로그램을 거쳐 간 참가자의 일부는 지난 4년 사이 연방의회의 입법보좌관, 커뮤니티 옹호 활동가, 전국단위 캠페인 및 중앙정당의 상근 당직자로 진출하기도 했습니다.
올해 참가자들은 여름 동안 지원금과 함께 지속적인 교육과 멘토십 그리고 네트워크의 기회를 제공받습니다. 2021 KAGC 의회 인턴십 참가 학생들이 내일의 커뮤니티 리더가 될 여정의 큰 걸음을 뗀 오늘, 함께 축하해주시기를 부탁드립니다.
