1. We got cut off. I think we got a bad connection.

전화가 끊어졌네요. 연결 상태가 좋지 않아요.

Did you hang up the phone? I hanged it up

The reception is not good : 수신 감도가 안 좋아요.

 

2. The line seems to be mixed.

Would you speak a little louder?

전화가 혼선이 된 것 같습니다.

좀 더 큰소리라 말씀해주실래요?

seem to ; -인 것 같다

What is the problem? > What seems to be the problem?

It is raining. > It seems to be raining.

3. How do I get an outside line?

Dial 9 and then the number you want.

외부에 전화를 어떻게 하죠? 9번 누르고 번호를 돌리세요.

How can I make a long distance call? (overseas' call)

4. This lemon is too sour. It isn't ripe enough.

Don't you have something sweet and sour?

이 레몬은 너무 십니다. 충분히 익지 않았어요.

뭔가 새콤달콤한 것 없습니까?

과일 채소 : ripe / 음식이 익다 cooked.

It's not cooked enough

5. This milk has gone sour.

이 우유는 쉬었어요.

Boiled rice easily goes bad in Summer.

 

6. This fruit has the flavor of lemon.

이 과일은 레몬 맛이 나요.

flavor ; savor 풍미 + scent 향

chocolate flavored / vanilla-flavored / chilli-flavored

This icecream is vanilla flavored.

7. This soup is too thick. I'd like mine thinner.

이 스프는 너무 껄쭉합니다. 제 것은 더 묽게 해주세요.

This coffee is too thin for me. A lot thicker, please.

8. It's too tight in the shoulder,

and this shirt is too loose around the waist.

어깨 쪽이 너무 조입니다. 이 셔츠는 허리가 너무 커요.

It's right fit to me.

9. Can you make it 50 dollars?

Can you make this a little bit cheaper?

50달러에 해주실래요? 좀 더 싸게 해주시면 안 될까요?

Is it a fixed price?

10. Do I get a discount if I buy in bulk?

I'm selling at a loss. Take it or leave it.

많이 사면 깎아주나요? 밑지고 파는 겁니다.
