0. 한국공연예술센터는 2013 년 2 월 23 일 (토요일, 오후 3 시)에 에디슨 볼룸 홀에서 전통예술공연 및 한국문화체험을 위한 신년 첫 행사를 연다. 이 행사에서는 풍물을 치며 집 터 곳곳의 지신(地神)을 밟아 달램으로써 한 해의 안녕과 복을 기원하는 풍습인 지신밟기, 집안의 무사 태평과 번영을 비는 성주풀이 (남도민요), 만월로 뜬 달을 보며 복을 기원하는 민속무용인 강강술래등의전통예술공연이펼쳐질것이다. 특히,이번행사는온가족이함께모여참여할수있는가족이벤트로서 윷놀이, 부럼깨기, 소원빌기, 덕담나누기 등 한국의 전통놀이를 뉴욕 시민들이 직접 체험하고 즐길 수 있는 기회도 주어진다. 이번 행사는 타임스퀘어를 시점으로 시작되는 지신밟기와 마당놀이와 같은 원형무대 등을 직접 체험해보며, 한국의 전통 세시풍속도 함께 나눌 수 있는 뜻깊은 이벤트가 될 것이다. 이번 행사는 뉴욕 취타대 (New York Korean Traditional Marching Band)가 게스트 퍼포머로서 참여해 행사를 더욱 빛낼 것이다.

3. 입춤 (성주풀이) Ip-chum: Improvisational Folk Dance with the Song of Seong-juPuri

4. 가야금병창 (방아타령) Gayageum Byeongchang: Song to the Gayageum - featuring a traditional Korean zither with 12 strings

5. 장구춤 Janggu-chum: Hourglass Drum Dance

6. 사물놀이 Samulnori: Korean Traditional Percussion Music

7. 강강술래 Ganggangsullae: 5,000-year-old Korean Traditional Dance *Audience participates in Ganggangsullae dance performance
