“The Spirit of Seonbi Sings to the World”

- Honored with grand prix in the 8th Korea Opera Awards(2015)
- Designated as the best opera in the 1st New Korean Opera Festival
- The best of modern Korean opera performed by the nation’s top opera singers

Chosun Opera Company, Korea’s first private opera company, was founded by a doctor and a tenor singer, In-Seon Lee in 1948. It was the first company to present the Opera La Traviata in Korea. Opera Seonbi was created with its aim to remind the people of the truth – what ensures happiness and bright future is benevolent and righteous spirit rather than material wealth.
