Stained Glass Art ~ With In-House Instructor
You will learn the basics of design and fabrication of stained glass pieces in both two and three dimensions. You will have access to tools and equipment, you may want to try before purchasing them, if you become a serious crafter. New students should expect to spend $100.00 or more in hand tools and glass for projects. Please ask for materials/resource list when signing up.

Painting for BEGINNERS & ADVANCED
Learn to paint like a professional. Individual attention through guided instruction allows each artist to develop at his or her own pace and ability. Instructor will address color theory, composition, perspective, and figure in the medium of each student’s choice.
The course also involves informal jam sessions among students who also have a musical talent. Students are encouraged to bring instruments for spontaneous jam sessions.

Through the Lens: Advanced Waterscape & Wildlife Photography
This course is for the photographer to develop advanced skills in wildlife, waterscape, and landscape photography. LI author, lecturer, and photographer John P. Cardone will present the works of two master photographers: one waterscape and landscape photographer and the other renowned for wildlife photos. Students will be able to have their best photos included in a class photography show as part of the Islip Arts Council Art in the Hall program. *Prerequisite: John’s introductory class or comparable experience in outdoor photography.

Life Study: Multiple Pose/Sustained Pose Class meets without instructor
Figure Drawing. Draw, Paint, or Sculpt from a Life Model in the original Dining Room of Historic Brookwood Hall. Each two-week session meets without an instructor. Bring your preferred art materials and pack a snack. Enjoy our park and lake or browse our galleries.
