Experience your Korea at the K-tourism Roadshow, a premier two-day travel and culture showcase presented by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in partnership with the KCCDC at Tysons Corner Center in Virginia, August 23 and 24!
Visitors can experience hands-on Korean culture and language activities, join in on role playing games inspired by the hit TV series Squid Game, pick up informational materials to plan their next trip to Korea, and much more. Join us to welcome celebrated Korean drummer JK Jongkuk Kim and his Quartet as they perform at The Wharf for the DC Jazz Festival this August, presented in partnership with the KCCDC! For the full festival lineup, program details, and tickets, see the DC Jazz Festival website.
Jongkuk Kim is an award-winning Billboard nominated drummer, improviser, composer, and electronic musician from Incheon, Korea who has become an integral voice in the contemporary jazz and is active in the K-Pop music scene as well. He is among an elite few jazz drummers recognized on the international jazz scene in recent years and has distinguished himself as one of the leading voices of his generation, with his name appearing in major publications such as Billboard, Grammy and Vogue magazines.

Korea experts of all backgrounds are invited to apply to be a guest speaker in the KCCDC's K-Culture Talk series in 2026!
Are you a specialist in Korean history, language, classical arts, or traditional culture with something fascinating to share? Then we want to hear from you! The KCCDC is seeking individuals and organizations with knowledge and passion for a specific aspect of Korean culture to lead engaging sessions for local audiences in Washington, D.C.
Submit your application to share your ideas and expertise—groups or individuals with demonstrable expertise in Korean culture may apply. The KCCDC will consider applicants on a rolling basis for future K-Culture events in 2026. See the full KCCDC announcement for details, including how to download and submit an application.
