Are you ready to Gangnam Style all the way to NY to dance and sing to K-pop hits? Well the wait is finally over and the Korean Cultural Service New York is looking for talented K-POP enthusiasts for the 2014 NY K-POP Festival!

Do YOU have what it takes to be the next 2014 NY K-POP Festival winner?

The 1st place winner of the 2014 NY K-POP Festival will get a chance to compete in the 2014 K-POP WORLD FESTIVAL in Korea this October and to meet K-Pop stars in person!

The Preliminary Online Contest starts June 24th, 2014.
Finalists from the preliminary online contest will be performing at the Final Showdown on August 15th, 2014 at 6 pm NYU Skirball Center for the performing arts.
Finalists will be announced on Aug. 5th, 2014 at 5 pm.

Preliminary Online K-POP Contest Submission Period

June 24th (Tuesday) to July 20th (Sunday), 5 pm.

Eligibility for Preliminary Online Contest Entry

Demographics: US Citizens and Residents
Categories: Singing, dancing, or any combination of both
Genre: Pick your favorite K-Pop song to sing and/or perform!

How to Enter

Download the Application Form (Click here to download Application Form)
Applicant(s) must upload a video clip to Youtube (max time – 5 minutes) and submit the application form along with the Youtube link address to: performingarts@koreanculture.org.

2014 NY K-POP Festival Final Showdown

Date: August 15th, 2014 (Friday) 6 pm
Place: NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts

Winner(s) of the Contest (Other Awards To Be Announced)
1st Place Winner: A chance to enter the ‘2014 World K-POP Festival’ in Korea!

Please be aware that only 15 contestants will be selected from all around the world to attend the ‘2014 World K-POP Festival.’ (Winning the NY K-POP Festival does not guarantee entry in the World K-POP Festival.)
The 1st place winner will be qualified to have chance to be one of the final 15 contestants to compete in Korea.
