<DIV style="MARGIN: 0px; FONT-FAMILY: Georgia; FONT-SIZE: medium">145th Street station - HSA is one block South of the station) Tickets: $20; $10 for students & seniors Reservations: 800-650-0246 or on line at <A href="http://www.nainichen.org/NextEvent" rel=nofollow target=_blank>www.nainichen.org/NextEvent</A>  The NAI-NI CHEN DANCE COMPANY, in residence at the Harlem School of the Arts (HSA) for the past thirteen years, and the celebrated AHN TRIO will join forces for a series of benefit performances for HSA, December 2-5.   Like so many other arts organizations, HSA has been affected by today's economy and continues to struggle to serve many people in its community and outside.  Box office proceeds for these performances will be donated to this remarkable and important organization.    In a departure from her usual concerts, Nai-Ni Chen has created dances exclusively to new music, all of which will be played live by the Ahn Trio.   Composers are:Kenji Bunch ---- "Lullaby for My Favorite Insomniac"    "Grooveboxes", and the new "Concrete Stream" (a specially commissioned score with support from the American Music Center), Israeli composer Ronn Yedidia, ---- "Lullaby" and Jazz star Pat Metheny  ---- "Yu Ryung" .     The AHN TRIO are three Korean American sisters - twins Lucia (piano) and Maria (cello), and Angella (violin).   These exceptional musicians trained at Juilliard and can be heard on CDS playing a wide range of music; on the classical side, their CD of  Ravel and Villa-Lobos trios inspired the critic at Audio Magazine to remark "this (Ravel) has never better played".   Their CD of  Dvorak, Suk, and Shostakovich won Germany's ECHO Award.     On the contemporary front, the artists enjoy playing material by fellow Juilliard graduate, award-winning composer Kenji Bunch, as well as Michael Nyman, Ronn Yedidia, innovative transcriptions of Rodgers & Hart, Astor Piazzolla, and David Bowie/Pat Metheny, among others.     The glamorous trio achieved widespread recognition in the U.S. in 1987 when Time Magazine featured them in a cover story entitled "Asian-American Whiz Kids."  In 2003, they were selected by People Magazine as three of the "50 Most Beautiful People," and the lovely ladies have also been featured in Vogue and GQ, as well as ads for GAPand Anne Klein.     The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has been a longtime major dance presence in the U.S. and around the world.   The Company appears frequently in the New York area, including at The Joyce Theater and NJPAC, tours regularly throughout the U.S., and has also been invited to perform in Festivals in Poland, China, and Korea.    Most recently, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company was honored by a prestigious grant award from both the President's Committee on Arts and Humanities and the Department of State to represent the United States in a seven-city tour arranged by the Tamaulipas International Arts Festival in Mexico. <A href="http://www.nainichen.org/" rel=nofollow target=_blank><A href="http://www.nainichen.org Publicity">www.nainichen.org</A>  Publicity</A>:  Audrey Ross Publicity (212)877-3399    할렘 스쿨 오브 더 아트를 위한 나이니 첸 댄스 컴퍼니, 작곡가 겐지 번치 그리고 안 트리오의 협력 자선 공연: 공연일: 12월 2일 -5일 (목/금/토 오후 8시 ; 일요일 오후 3시) 장소: 할렘 스쿨 오브 더 아트 , 645 세인트 니콜라스 애비뉴 (지하철로A 라인을 타시고 145 st에서 하차. 학교는 지하철 역으로부터 한블럭 남쪽에 위치) 티켓: 일반 $20, 학생 및 시니어 $10 예약: 1-800-650-0246  혹은 온라인 <A href="http://www.nainichen.org/NextEvent" target=_blank>www.nainichen.org/NextEvent</A></DIV>
