Korean Cultural Service New York is hosting the exhibition of Po Kim from February 15th to March 16th. This also marks Korean Cultural Service’s first exhibition of 2012.
This exhibition will display a great variety of the artist's recent works from 2010-2011 along with the large figurative painting in 1994-95 and small abstract paintings around his early works of 1960s.
Through this exhibition, Korean Cultural Service NY wishes to offer an opportunity to look into the influence of the absence of the artist's wife and longtime artistic companion, the recently deceased Sylvia Wald, and display the artistic spirit of the artist in his nineties whose fiery intensity measures up to those of young and upcoming artists.
The exhibition's opening reception will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, from 6 to 8 PM at the Gallery Korea of the Korean Cultural Service New York.
From Thursday, February 16th the gallery will have regular hours from 10AM -5PM.
